Tuotanto sijaitsee Budapestissa, ja Solanie-tuotteet valmistetaan lääketeollisuuden standardien mukaisilla laitteilla, minkä vuoksi niitä kutsutaan oikeutetusti kosmeseuttisiksi tuotteiksi.

Unkarilaiset arvostavat kaikkea luonnollista ja korkealaatuista, minkä vuoksi Solanie-tuotteet perustuvat luonnollisiin raaka-aineisiin eivätkä sisällä silikoneja, parabeeneja tai mineraaliöljyjä. Lisäksi Solanie ei koskaan testaa tuotteitaan eläimillä.

Brändin historia juontaa juurensa vuoteen 1936, jolloin farmaseutti Mihály Pito päätti huolehtia paitsi ihmisten terveydestä myös heidän kauneudestaan. Hänen apteekkinsa Bahissa toivotti tervetulleiksi sekä parannusta hakevat että ulkonäköään vaalivat asiakkaat.
Vuonna 1972 perheen nuorin jäsen, Éva Pito, avasi ensimmäisen yksityisen kauneushoitolansa Budapestin sydämessä, Pyhän Tapanin basilikan vastapäätä, käyttäen isänsä säilyttämiä voideformuloita.

Vuonna 2012 Évan poikapuoli Tamás Szórát otti yrityksineen vastuun Solanie-brändin kehittämisestä. Innovatiivisen ja dynaamisen toimintafilosofiansa ansiosta Solanie on onnistuneesti laajentanut toimintaansa kansainvälisille markkinoille. Brändi osallistuu säännöllisesti markkinointi- ja alan ammattilaistapahtumiin, kuten Cosmoprof – maailman suurimpaan kauneusalan messuun.
